Carton Brewing

In the summer of 2013 I did something out of the ordinary for myself and entered a design contest. One of my favorite New Jersey breweries was about to start canning its craft beers, and they posted to the public that they needed a design for the first can to debut. I immediately got to work as soon as I heard the news, and made a handful of concepts that I believed would fit both the style and attitude of the company. Not long after sending in my concepts, I got the news that my design had been selected for the companies flagship brew, Boat beer.

Since completing that design, I have been hired to bring to life new canning and design projects for the brewery, working closely with Augie Carton. Thinking about the physical interaction with packaging design has been a fun and rewarding challenge. The opportunity has spanned across different mediums, including wrapping delivery, sales vehicles and designing branded apparel.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my good friend Brian Casse from iDrinkGoodBeer.com for the beautiful photography and videos that showcase the work that I’ve done. Stay tuned to Carton Brewing for new and exciting releases that may or may not be in cans. I can neither confirm nor deny…
